Plastic surgeon recommendations?

Not as dramatic as you may be thinking -
I'm not looking to turn into a 20 yr old Amazonian model (I don't have that sort of budget and, I suspect, neither does the treasury).

I have some facial scarring from skin cancer surgery, one of which remains puffy/raised, and I'd like debulking corrective surgery to improve how it looks. I don't know know how to go about finding a good facial surgeon. Anyone have any recommendations? Particularly London/Herts, but prob willing to travel.

Thank you (ps. have name changed for obvious reasons)

I don't know of any particulars but don't go with a cosmetic surgeon.
I'd find one that is a max fax and/specialises in reconstruction and dermatology

I'll PM you. I went to one on Harley St for lump removal and I'm very happy with the results.

If you haven't already, try the realself site - loads of reviews of surgeons for different procedures, with before/after photos too.

Thank you, all of you. I hadn't heard of realself before, so will spend a while trawling through now.
Good point about not looking for a cosmetic surgeon - I'd assumed that as it was purely to make me look better, that would be the right category, but my original surgery was done under Maxio-Facial so that is probably the best.
Thanks so much for the personal recommendation, LifeofClimb, that was exactly what I was hoping for. Will read up.
