Blonde highlights / brown hair?

I’m wondering something. Just how blonde can one become with just highlights/ something else?
I have mid to dark brown hair with half head done. They are apparently the lightest without using bleach?
I don’t know? I can’t really remember she said?
What could l do with my hair now? It doesn’t really have much sliver/white. No re-growth as such. Smile thank you.

Hi, well, what I do, I get my roots done with the lightest without using bleach, then if I want to up the blondness I have some bleach through with the foils.

That sounds like a good idea- and quite low maintenance l guess?
Thank you 😊
Something to suggest to my hairdresser!

I have naturally Brown hair. I had foil highlights with a caramel and then went back 8weeks later and had it lifted. It got quite light but my hair felt dry.

Never lesson learnt though as recently went dark but now back practically white again so I can have pink.

I think you need at least 2x bleach few weeks apart depending on your hair.

Yeah, that's it, you could have a few foils to start with, see if you like it.

I've got a good bit of grey coming through, so the lighter it is the less maintenance but still have to get it done around every 6/7 weeks. Does dry hair out I've found, so good conditioner or those intense conditioners every now and again. Keep meaning to try the coconut oil as a deep conditioner. On other threads people seem to rave about it.

Thank you both. I’ve got the lightest highlights that aren’t bleached ( apparently!?)
I’m trying a new much younger ( than me) hairdresser next week so l’m hoping she will be up for experimenting a bit! 😊

i have highlights foils with bleach, as i have mousey coloured hair and a light colour do not give me the light blonde that i like.

I have a full head of highlights, a mix of bleach and one or two blonde shades. From brown hair to achieve a full blonde look probably took three full heads? I would now say though highlights alone I am fully blonde - blonde hair lightens even more in the summer hence the progression and needing a few full heads (I probably get my highlights done every 10 weeks)

Foils are fab for greys lol. Mine blend in better. Why on earth have I just wrecked my highlights to go pink. I'm mad.

Thanks everyone!
This is very encouraging. I didn’t want to go down the ‘ block bleach’ route - so these highlight ideas are great!

Would using camomile shampoos and conditioners work? I have black hair and have always pondered if those camomile based products only highlight blonde hair further?
