Does this wedding dress exist?

Disclaimer: we are not getting married for a couple of years, however I am a planner and so.

We are having two ceremonies. One is a quiet registry office event. I want a 1940s style, blush pink knee length dress. Nothing too twee, or ridiculous but still glamorous and elegant.

I can’t find anything. At all.

I’ve only found ivory and white. White is unacceptable for either outfit, it needs to be pinkish.

Are you petite? You might have some luck going genuine vintage, especially if you have several years to trawl for it. I’d never fit into clothes from the 40s and am very envious of people who could. Have you looked at Joanne Fleming, my friend bought her wedding dress there and it was exquisite.

As you are quite specific about what you want, I would find some pictures, or make some sketches, and find a dressmaker who could make you exactly what you want.

Or you could ask a dressmaker, once you have an idea of what style you like. Sounds lovely and different.

I’m a size 10 but have quite big boobs. I have some luck with genuine vintage. Thanks for the link, this looks quite nice :)

try oxfam online they do loads of vintage wedding dresses.

Get one made?

I think I may have found it. I’m after something like this, but in blush. This company allows differing colours, so I think it would be possible to get it pink.

That's gorgeous op. Try searching for 'ash rose' and other words for pink as well. That cutting edge brides website has at least one that's subtly pink...

OP, I think that company are just stocking the Loulou dress Annette - I thought it looked familiar here. It doesn't look like it comes in blush, but they do some dresses in ash rose so have a look around.

I tried on some Lou Lou and house of mooshki dresses - they might have something.
