Have fallen in love with this dress

Is it too wannabe bride / bridesmaid for an evening-only guest?

No, I think it's lovely!

thenightsky · 12/03/2018 13:25

Its lovely, but I was going to say its a bit too bridesmaidey. However, I then spotted you were an evening only guest, so I think it will be fine.

Do you know what colour the bridesmaids will be wearing?

elQuintoConyo · 12/03/2018 13:26

It's fine. Not bridey or even bridesmaidy.

MrsEricBana · 12/03/2018 13:27

Before I clicked on it I was going to say no way but it's just a gorgeous flowery dress that happens to have a white background. Definitely fine! Wish I could wear such a dress :-)

rightknockered · 12/03/2018 13:55

I don't think that dress is really white, it's more of a muted beige colour. I was coming on to say that I wouldn't, but that dress looks fine. As long as the bridesmaids aren't wearing lilac

happytobemrsg · 12/03/2018 13:57

A beautiful dress

Bombardier25966 · 12/03/2018 13:59

Cheap bridesmaids dress (and not that cheap for a polyester dress).

newdocket · 12/03/2018 14:23

I think it's absolutely fine to wear to a wedding. When I saw the title I imagined an only white maxi and thought 'no way' but on seeing the dress I don't think you will look remotely bridey/bridesmaidy

Starlighter · 12/03/2018 14:43

It’s lovely! Totally fine.

silkpyjamasallday · 12/03/2018 14:56

It's lovely, and I think you'd just about get away with wearing it as a guest, as long as purple/lilac aren't their wedding colours.

chuckyegg2 · 12/03/2018 17:59

Thanks for your thoughts everyone.... I am v pleased you (mostly) said what I wanted to hear Grin

Not close enough to bride to know what the wedding colours will be... hadn’t thought of that very valid point.
Thanks all!

Pretty dress but what kind of wedding is it? If it's a boho / rustic / DIY type wedding you may find the dress a bit too similar to the bridal party.

thethoughtfox · 13/03/2018 09:37

You will be talked about. Don't do it.

thethoughtfox · 13/03/2018 09:38

Just clicked on the link: didn't realise it wasn't all white. Buy it, wear it, rock it.

Minus2 · 13/03/2018 09:39

Gorgeous

Minus2 · 13/03/2018 09:39

And I wouldn’t call it white
