Body Dysmorphia.

I’m slowly moving forward with the help of sessions with a healthy minds counsellor.

I’m looking to update my wardrobe. I’ve been told on many occasions I Dress older than I am.
I do.

I have been battling self esteem issues and body dysmorphia.

I have a healthy budget and I’m slowly dealing with things.

As part of seeing myself as I really am I am trying to update my wardrobe.

I only have supermarket and eBay clothes.

I don’t really know good quality clothing ranges. I’ve tried to have a look on TKMaxx but I’m not really sure what brands are worth the money. I want to start from the beginning.

I’ve recently been measured and fitted for underwear so I now need to start on my wardrobe.

Any links or help/tips would be great.

I do have Pinterest but don’t find it terribly helpful tbh.

I’m 41 5ft 5. And a size 14-16.

You are not short or fat. Wallis have good stuff I think.

It would be useful to know what colours or styles you like.

Also, although I appreciate it might be a difficult question for you, if you could give an idea of body shape (wide shoulders, nice waist - just a general idea it would be useful).

Pinterest is not terribly helpful in finding clothes, really. More for ideas.

Would you feel comfortable having an appointment with an advisor? The John Lewis service is good, they have a wide variety of brands and you're pretty much their target customer (age and size wise, looking to update wardrobe).

Thanks for the replies.

I couldn’t do a personal shopper.

Shape. Hourglass apparently Hmm

I’ve measured myself last month 42,32,42.

Wow that´s a cracking hourglass figure.

Do you wear black? I just bought this black dress from Wallis. It´s very flattering, although I wear big pants underneath it to help my tummy and to prevent lines. Any good?
