booked an appt to have a milia removed, just under my eye. apparently it's done by electrolysis ? am getting nervous now as the thought of a hot needle under my eye is a bit daunting

I have had it done several times, not there, but on my chest and arms and yes it stings a bit, but you feel nice and clean afterwards. Savlon and a few days it will be a memory. Good luck

I'm having mine done this week.

Not sure if it’s the same but had eyelid little skin tags burned of with a pen thingy at the beauticians. About 4 of them. Was quick and relatively painless.

SaltySeaBird · 11/03/2018 20:04

I had one done at a beautician and it wasn’t good. The procedure was fine but she seemed nervous and afterwards it got infected and has left a scar. Make sure you are having it done somewhere reputable- I wouldn’t let a beautician do this again.

How long does it take for the scabs to go down? Are they very noticeable?

LifeofClimb · 11/03/2018 20:57

I do my own with sterile scalpels Blush
Don’t recommend that if you’re of a nervous disposition...

HRTpatch · 12/03/2018 10:17

I wouldnt let a beautician touch them!!

Did three on the side of my cheek last week. Sterilised a needle, wiped with sterile wipes...boomf.... gone.

ShootingQuadrantids · 20/03/2018 19:20

It's only my opinion but haven't women been dealing with this issue on their own for years? I think that having 'minor surgery' to remove them is a big con loadsofmoney!

Time40 · 20/03/2018 19:33

I do my own, and my own skin tags. Never had any problem.

bigHill · 20/03/2018 20:14

How do you do it with a needle?
