Boots keeps on cancelling my online order

I placed an order online with Boots. It included a few 3 for 2 products, plus a few things for my son and mum. It came up to about £200 and they cancelled it. No explanation. I tried again and they cancelled again.

I then made the order smaller, about £100. Cancelled by Boots

Eventually I ordered just £20, and they delivered.

This is really frustrating as I have no idea what their criteria are. Does anyone know if there's a limit for what you can order online?

I have spoken to their customer services but they kept on saying "they can't tell me why". It is very annoying and in the end I just went to town with a rucksack and bought the stuff.

Any ideas?

Shop somewhere else.

Fuck 'em.

Vote with your feet/cash.

I know...I just really like some of the No 7 stuff but if it doesn't get sorted, I'll just have to do that. Madness. Anyone would think they hate their customers

They did this to me last year. I complained and they gave me vouchers as compensation. I was very annoyed though as they practically called me a fraudster. I would not drop the complaint.

I will send another complain

Every time I place an online order with Boots approx 30mins later I get an email from them stating ‘we have completed our internal checks and your order can now be processed’ or something like that.

Maybe you failed the internal checks? Though feck knows what the criteria is or what they actually check. A strange response from their CS.

I agree to vote with your feet. No7 isn't all that special - they don't sell anything that you couldn't get in another form elsewhere.
If you have failed some sort of internal check, then they should at least tell you what happened.

I would check my credit rating though, just in case there is something inaccurate on your records which might affect you in future.

Pictureiswonky · 12/03/2018 13:00

Thanks. I think my credit ratings should be fine. They have always been good and I just got a mortgage on my own a couple of months ago, so it would be odd if it was that.

The strange thing is that they accept my orders for about £20 but cancel the larger ones.

Stupidly their CS person told me I should contact them via Twitter. It's like they want to make their inefficiency really visible to the public.

I might do that and I'll start looking for alternatives
