Less makeup?

Does anyone find they wear LESS makeup as they get older. I've recently stopped wearing mascara as woke up one morning and felt spidery mascara laden lashes weren't a good look. I would NEVER have done this 6 months ago! Is it my age?!

I'm 55 and very rarely wear a full face of foundation anymore.I either use a cc cream or concealor only in the areas of redness i need to disguise.
