Not sure how to style it. Intending to wear it to a couple of evening events in April (one fancy dinner, one drinks event at a museum). I’m 35 and want to look stylish but not fashion victim. My feet are rectangular and size 8 so pointy shoes are a no, and brogues look ridiculous on me.

Are these nice or nasty?

Not sure about the ankle strap, maybe round/almond toe block heeled courts in one of the colours on the dress. Hopefully you’ll get better answers soon

Love this dress!! I would personally wear black ankle boots, I have a pair of Acne pistols (bought second hand on eBay, I’m not rich) that I would wear with it.

I'd go for bright blue rather than green, as blue is a more prominent colour on the dress so would tie in better. Also, as it's quite "blocky" in shape (aka no straps, layers etc) it would go best with strappy heels. Thanks everyone. Really like those blue M&S shoes - maybe as they’re wide fit they’ll fit despite being pointy? Worth a try.
I also like the idea of black ankle boots with a bit of a heel. Obviously not the right time of year to be buying them - anyone seen anything nice left in a size 8?

One of my colleagues had a pair of boots (alas years old) - black leather ankle boots with a stiletto heel and a zip down the front. I’d love something like that!
