Mercurial123 love the Day Birger Mikkelsen bag. I've seen it in a local store and been sorely tempted. Good to know that the quality is good.

I was going to say Longchamp, but I would totally go for the Birger et Mikkelsen for that money!

I have 2 Lonchamps, a purple Neo and an emerald green large tote with the brown leather accents. When I go to the US in April I'm using that as my "handbag" (I can put my actual small crossbody inside) and a small wheelie as my hand luggage.

It's a really good size and easy to carry. I use it as my carry on now as the writer in the article mentioned it's easy to put under your seat if the overhead lockers are full. It's really hardwearing though I treat my padded one a bit more carefully.

Mercurial do you have the tote/shopper or the weekend, please?

Mercurial does the sizing conform with Easyjet/Ryanair do you know? I'm doing a short hand luggage-only break to Mallorca in May and my current bag is a bit big I think.

Mines it's length is 55cm laid flat so can't see it being a problem.

I do own the Gwyneth bag but I struggle carrying it sometimes if it has too much stuff in it so I've bought a Brics Life tote which I love and it has a long shoulder strap. They also have a decent sale on at the moment, I love the Brics bags and they are really well made.

I've just bought a Hermosa all rounder. Made of neoprene and I will use it for day trips/hand luggage on plane/beach bag. Not seen it in the flesh yet but I think it's the one.
