Suede boots are a terrible idea aren't they?

The ankle boots I have for 3 years have finally given up (I've checked they can't be repaired). I spent hours today trudging round shops looking for ankle boots.

In the brown. Bought them, but then tonight Dh has pointed out that suede isn't particularly practical. Argh. I only want one pair of boots.

Terrible idea? Stealing myself for more bloody shopping (I hate shopping)

They are lovely though....

I know! And so comfy. And make me feel lovely when I walk.

Damn bloody rain.

I only wear suede boots. Get them!

They are lovely. I have some suede boots that dye my feet if they get wet but I love them anyway. Buy them and make sure they have a good coating of water proofing.

Any recommendations for waterproofing stuff?

Collonil spray, several coats, leaving them to dry in between, and repeated every few months in winter. I wear suede boots more than leather, but also have walking boots and wellies for foul weather or really heavy rain.
