Smartish clothes for a current slob!

Hi!

I'm going for an interview next week for a group worker- basically working for a charity with young children. I need to get some smartish clothes that are practical too. Due to the nature of the job it's recommended we don't wear too much make up or fancy jewellery.

I particularly struggle with footwear! I haven't worked for several years and live in skinny jeans, Puma trainers or Sketcher "ugg" style boots. I can't wear heels due to bad joints.

I'm 5ft 8 and size 18/20 so flattering clothes are essential!!

Where do I start? Can anyone suggest a few key bits that I could get to start off with? Best places to shop?

Thanks!

I am into work-leisure trend, so I love to mix and match some stylish Birkenstock (I have found it online on www.bstore.com.au/), striped pants and smart blazers. It makes me feel comfortable and yet to look appropriate for work.

I would get some brogues or possibly loafers and wear those with trousers in the colour and style you like (widelegged crops if you're super fashionable, or ankle skimmers or whatever). Then a shirt or nice top on top, possibly with a blazer?
