why was my listing removed on Ebay? i was selling makeup some mac, clinique, benefit and eyeko. they said something about estee lauder and trademark violation, but there are loads of other sellers selling brand makeup on ebay.

It might be removed if it's not listed as new. You can sell used toiletries and perfume but not make up. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Did you use the manufacturer's photos?

lindyloo57 · 06/03/2018 16:39

no they were my own, i have just emailed estee lauder to find out why.
i know you shouldent sell used makeup but lots of people do.

I think the ban is to avoid fakes. It didn't used to be the case in the U.K. though. Was your eBay listing visible internationally? You can't sell certain brands of cosmetics in parts of Europe (definitely not in France, not sure where else). So you could try changing to U.K. only.

If you have listed them as used you could try relishing as new in the listing details then mention that you have swatched it (if that's true) in the details.

i did list in uk only, and put new items you have to, to be able to list, and said that they were tested, i had an email back from estee lauder think one is a fake, its a mac eye pencil i got in a christmas calender, so i dident know it was fake.
