Personal stylist?

Don't post to this board much for reasons that will soon become clear.

I'm slightly overweight, but have toned up a lot since xmas, have an exercise regime that I'm enjoying and is working. Size 14, 5 foot 8. Wardrobe is full of clothes of various sizes, quality and styles and I hate most of it.

I've reached the end of my tether with my frumpiness. 2 DCs (2 and 4) work full time in an office environment where I can get away with baggy jeans and trainers (so I do). Wear as close as I can to PJs the rest of the time.

I'm seriously considering spending £150 (!!) on a personal stylist to come and do a "wardrobe detox". I've found one (on google).

Has anyone in my situation ever done this? Should I try and get a recommendation instead of some internet random? Did it work for you?
