Ankle boots

I need some new ankle boots.
I have two pairs, one I use most days which are comfortable and I can walk a fair distance in them. However, they need new soles and heels and because this has been done once before I think it's time to get a new pair.

I also didn't realise how worn they looked until I was in a shoe shop today!
The second pair I have are the black jigsaw cara boots. They're great for going out but too uncomfortable to wear for everyday use.

I also have a weekend in mid April where I need to look relevantly smart/casual, as well as walking a fair bit.
Usually at this time of year I switch to converse/trainers as it's often too warm for long boots and too cold for shoes/sandals, so if I can get a really nice ankle boot it would be great for this weekend too as trainers would not be appropriate.

Today I saw these boots in office. The chocolate coloured ones are lovely, but with the cut of them I'm not sure if I could wear them with skirts/dresses. What do you think? Any other suggestions?

Definitely look good with skirts imho

I like them. More practical than suede too

I could also get them in black but this colour is lovely (photo doesn't do them justice).
Would this colour look ok with black opaques?

Much nicer in chocolate, means you can wear black and navy.

I only really like black suede, not so keen on black leather.

Thank you.
I think chocolate may be a better colour than black for heading into Spring.

April is a difficult month to plan an outfit as the weather is so variable, but I think a lighter colour boot would look better as I'm sure it will still be too cold for ballet pumps or similiar.
