Little make up kit for hospital bag

I’m now heavily pregnant - less than a month away from having DC2 - and packing my hospital bag. I’ve got all the basics (all the baby stuff, pjs I can bf in, loads of maternity pads, lip balm, face wipes, hair ties etc) but would now like to sort a little pick me up treat for me. I’d like a nice little make up set. Something maybe like the benefit book kits -m.lookfantastic.com/benefit-how-to-look-the-best-at-everything-medium-4-products/10625343.html?rctxt=pers but keen to see what else is out there that’s nice. Any ideas very welcome!

Disclaimer - I honestly do know this is a daft trivial thing to be faffing about with really but it’s a tiny nice little thing that I think I’d like. Last time I felt and looked awful after the birth and while it was in no way a real priority and 90% of the time I didn’t give a monkey’s I’d have rather liked to be able to smarten myself up just a little while DH was cuddling the baby, mostly just so I didn’t feel so grotty and gross when DH’s parents visited (we both have a slightly tricky and uncomfortable relationship with them - no real nasties just different views and values - but we really want to encourage them to see and be involved with grandchildren so made it clear they were welcome at the hospital and will of course do the same this time).

Have you used benefit before? I want to love them but I just don't

Will you be at a department store before you go? You could ask for samples of lovely stuff and use that instead?

Or if you do this kind of thing, book in for Hair, nails and brows now. I'd just had my brows done and it makes me look much better on my 'just had a baby' photo!

I have used some benefit products before (love the primer, the foundation and the lip tint, hate the eyeliner, very indifferent about the bronzer and the mascara so don’t buy either) - tbh it was more the idea of having a pretty little box of nicely packaged things with a mirror that was appealing rather than the brand! Unlikely to be near a department store I think - but love the thinking!

Great idea on booking hair, brows and nails - might do that for a “first day of mat leave” treat - especially as a hair cut is now overdue as mine was cancelled at the weekend because the salon owner couldn’t get in due to snow (and tbh I would have struggled). Bet I would feel much nicer! Thanks for replying - I was a bit worried people would think this was too stupid to bother responding to!
