Anyone had microblading/powder brow and hated it at first?

...and then grown to love it?

I have hated my eyebrows for 20 years. I overplucked them from 13 years old and the bastards never grew back. Went for a microblading consultation and the lady suggested microblading/powder brow combo as I have pale skin and very dark eyebrows and only microblading could look fake so the powder brow would look as though I had make up on.

Had them done yesterday and oh my fucking god they seem huge! I look so so different. I think it might just be the shock but I feel like the dad from American Pie. The eyebrows themselves are done well but they just look strange on my face. I'm hoping once they heal and fade then I will not look so angry Sad

Anyone have any positive stories of overcoming eyebrow shock?

I felt like something out of the Mikado at first Shock. Do remember that a mirror reflects it back big style.

Use the balm religiously - at least that's what they recommend for microblading, not quite sure what the powder technique is.

I'm going for a top-op in a week - still get that Mikado feeling afterwards but then realised that actually no-one else reacts or recoils Grin, and I do get compliments on my 'lovely brows'. But do use the balm.

Best of luck - it is worth it.

I had it done and still hate it tbh. Don't worry about the colour, it will fade somewhat. When I had mine done I was advised to mix Germoline and Vaseline then apply s few times a day.

I have my eyebrows microbladed and I love them, they are very dark at first but then fade. I have pale skin and dark hair so when I first got them done they were super dark, but I just love them.

Yes! Didn’t help that my 11yr old ds said I looked harsh.

Google stages of microblading healing, there is quite a funny Kim Kardashian one.

BTW I love them now, and had compliments on them.

Ohmmmnm · 04/03/2018 10:23

Oh no, why do you hate it? I've been reading online and a few people advise dry healing. I've been putting coconut oil on the powder bit but left the microblading alone.

Sorry that was for Laana.

Yes I look really harsh now! Cant wait till they fade.

Yes and it's completely normal to love them on the first day and wtf them for the following week and when they flake and fall off you'll then worry because they can all but disappear but then they reappear a week or so later.

I am dry healing mine this time as I had a refresh on Tuesday and have put nothing on them at all and they seem to be healing better than last time when I was putting the cream on them, I am pale with darkish brows and I just have stoke work on mine and I'm happy with them, but my right hand eyebrow hair pretty much fell out all but the 6 big wire hairs that grow outwards.

They will peel within a week or so and after that they'll look normal. They look very harsh at first. The balm is just like Vaseline
(I'm sue coconut oil would do the same job). Don't use anything if you have oily skin though, you don't need it.
