Not sure but it smells different when I wear it now, just think the way my skin reacts with the scent may have changed. But it's lovely, I agree.

A lot of perfumes have been reformulated due to some EU law banning a particular ingredient.

Just going to say what JustGettingStarted have said.

The EU have banned a particular moss that was used in a lot of Chanel perfumes. I think this moss was in Coco and No.5. I asked at my local Chanel counter a couple of years ago what Chanel was going to do. My go to perfumes are Coco and No.5. The consultant told me that Chanel and all the other companies were working on an artificial replacement and that Chanel would make sure the smell wasn't different. I actually bought an extra bottle of both at the time and haven't needed to replenish since then due to a health condition which has meant I haven't been able to wear as much perfume.

Chanel told me that they would just move over to the new ingredients there wouldn't be an announcement. By what you are saying it looks like they have now moved over. I will go and have a spray next time I am in town. Good news if you are both saying it is still lovely though Smile

Yes I was told about ingredient changes in perfumes. The one I noticed having changed was aromatics elixir by clinique, smells 'lighter' and doesn't last as long on me. Thinking about it, I also wear Angel and that doesn't last like it used to either..annoying! Angry
