Where can I buy non see through black leggings?

As the title says, basically. I’m looking for the cotton type ones as opposed to gym leggings.

Fed up of buying ones and discovering I’d be showing the world a lot more than intended if I were to wear them in public! Currently wearing two old pairs at a time - good for keeping warm but a pain to put on and think it’s time to invest in some new ones.

Thanks!!

I buy my daughters from either Jack Wills (expensive but washes and wear well) or Hollister - cheaper price and still last

EmmaGrundyForPM · 02/03/2018 02:27

I've got some from White Stuff that are non see through and have worn well.

H&M leggings work very well for me - think they’re £6.99 or £7.99 a pair.

They do not show my skin, are very comfortable all over, and last a long time. I even wear them when pregnant - I just buy one size up and wear them throughout my pregnancy.

Next leggings are pretty good.
I usually find the more exspensive they are the less likely people are going to see my knickers Grin
I avoid primark leggings

Sainsbury's leggings are good

ScreamingValenta · 02/03/2018 07:11

Buying a size larger than your normal size reduces stretch so makes them thicker when on.

Mint Velvet skirted leggings. As the name suggests it has a small skirt panel across the bottom area. Alternatively, wear longer length tops which stop mid thigh. I see leggings as a base layer rather than an alternative to trousers.

Sainsbury’s individual leggings are great. Not the ones that comes in packs of two though. I still have some that are 5 years old! Put them on to keep warm yesterday and they look good. In fact I’ve never had bobbles or inside thigh wearing from them.

Mintylemons · 02/03/2018 07:58

Sainsbury’s. And yes, the individual pairs are best.

Fintress · 02/03/2018 07:58

I've got a few pairs of Sainsbury's leggings too, great for the price. Granted I only wear them about the house but they are not see through.

Fintress · 02/03/2018 07:59

Yes to the individual pairs!

hoopdeloop · 02/03/2018 08:00

I got H&M thick leggings, no see through bits on those!

lornathewizzard · 02/03/2018 08:01

Primark cosy ones are good because they're thicker

ThereIsTooMuchConfusion · 02/03/2018 08:02

Primark do fleece lined leggings they aren’t see through due to the fleece but are very warm !

calzone · 02/03/2018 08:02

Primark velvet lined leggings are very good.

NotN0wBernard · 02/03/2018 08:06

Another vote for Sainsbury's. I bought them after seeing them recommended on here and still can't believe how good they are for the price. Currently wearing them under jeans in this artic weather!

Knowivedonewrong · 02/03/2018 08:40

Matalan have black and a denim style, quite thick too.

NameChangeDestroyer · 02/03/2018 08:41

Next have a wide range.

ThisOnesForYou · 02/03/2018 08:45

Sainsburys leggings are great. The ones labelled 'luxury' I think. I've had several pairs for ages, years, and they're wearing well.

han01uk · 02/03/2018 08:51

Sainsburys luxury in individual packs. Lovely quality, thick waistband to keep everything contained and wash really well!

issy196 · 02/03/2018 11:02

Thanks everyone! Seems like Sainsbury's or Primark fleeced are the way to go. Just wanted to check re Sainsbury's ones, assuming I'm looking for the £10 'Luxurious Soft Touch Leggings'? Hope so as the others are out of stock in my size! Unfortunately don't have a Sainsbury's nearby that stocks clothing so have to look online.

I got Tesco leggings for my daughter (adult size 6) and I haven't noticed any problems with transparency. They fit well too.

tulipz · 02/03/2018 13:09

Sainsburys luxury ones are fab :)

Commuterface · 02/03/2018 13:12

Sainsbury’s are brilliant

CointreauVersial · 02/03/2018 13:53

Next do some nice sturdy leggings - I think they're £18. I bought them for DD2, who still likes a legging/crop-top combo, and they don't show her knickers.
