Mother’s Day jumper

Just spent a few days with my mum (250 miles away). She’s 75 and widowed, but youthful and active (2 Labradors!).

She laughingly pointed out that all her clothes are grey, except for her favourite jumper - chalky pink - which she ruined cleaning the hearth.

I’d like to get her a non-grey jumper for Mother’s Day. The ruined favourite jumper is from Woolovers. Unfortunately they don’t do that colour anymore, and there is nothing in that colour in her size in the clearance. The replacement pink is too sugary to be “her”.

So do I-
Get her a Woolovers voucher?
Get her a Woolovers jumper in another colour? (I know her size in Woolovers)
Get her a Uniqlo cashmere jumper in a different colour - sort of muted plum, similar but much darker than the ruined pink jumper?

I’m wavering - with Wooovers, I know her size, but quality can be hit and miss. With Uniqlo, I think quality will be better, but it’s unknown for sizing and quite a different colour palette.

Open to other suggestions, budget is around £50. Or if anyone knows where I can get a calamine coloured lambswool V neck jumper!

I think I would try and find out why it was her favourite. It may be that she liked the style over the colour. In that case maybe the same or similar jumper in a different colour. If it was the colour then see if there is one in a different style.

Woo lovers have the measurements on the website so could you consult that and have a good go at getting the right size in the Uniqlo one? It sounds to me that it was the colour she valued.

It was definitely the colour. Struggling to find it elsewhere. Woolovers called it Chalky Pink. They only have it in their clearance stock now, but nothing in her size.

Have you tried a different wool blend. You dont say what size your Mum is but you can search the site by chalky pink
www.woolovers.com/searchresults?keyword=chalky+pink

I think you should get the muted plum one. Using the measurements from the wool overs website!

Thank you Yewtown, I couldn’t do that on my phone. Unfortunateky there are no styles left in the right colour/size that DM would like.

Vandelay - I think I will.

I did a search for Woolovers & Chalky Pink on Amazon, is there anything here that would suit?
