Just spent a few days with my mum (250 miles away). She’s 75 and widowed, but youthful and active (2 Labradors!).
She laughingly pointed out that all her clothes are grey, except for her favourite jumper - chalky pink - which she ruined cleaning the hearth.
I’d like to get her a non-grey jumper for Mother’s Day. The ruined favourite jumper is from Woolovers. Unfortunately they don’t do that colour anymore, and there is nothing in that colour in her size in the clearance. The replacement pink is too sugary to be “her”.
So do I-
Get her a Woolovers voucher?
Get her a Woolovers jumper in another colour? (I know her size in Woolovers)
Get her a Uniqlo cashmere jumper in a different colour - sort of muted plum, similar but much darker than the ruined pink jumper?
I’m wavering - with Wooovers, I know her size, but quality can be hit and miss. With Uniqlo, I think quality will be better, but it’s unknown for sizing and quite a different colour palette.
Open to other suggestions, budget is around £50. Or if anyone knows where I can get a calamine coloured lambswool V neck jumper!
