Suits for short arses

I'm going back to work after a year at home with DD. I need a new suit. Fills me with dread. I'm 5 feet nothing. Just a 'petite' suit doesn't work - the overall cut has to be right, with, for example, a shortishjacket.

Any ideas? Budget is the mid/top end of high street.

My work look is mainly Cos. (They have a suit there at the moment with tailoring so lovely it made my breathing go a bit funny, but the jacket was far too boxy).

Yeah it's a really difficult one almost no one makes suits and no one makes petite so put that together and there is very little choice

Banana republic (sizing is mad go for the smallest you think will fit you and then go a size smaller)
Boden do petite but only in horrid stretchy ponte fabric
J crew (but postage and returns are expensive)
Precise petite (but only if you want polyester mother of the bride look)
Next (ditto)

Or find something you like and go to a tailor?
