What do you wear with brogues?

I've just treated myself to a beautiful pair of tan Hamble Oaks. After some inspiration for how to style them. Thanks!

Some ankle grazers? I had some white ones in the 80s which I wore with everything especially a pinafore dress and fab lacy tights if you fancy going retro

Thanks goose. I actually love the idea of a pinafore dress and lacy tights . Was going to wear my shiny new brogues today, but looked at the weather forecast and went for the trusty over the knee boots instead!

I wore tan ones with navy rolled chinos and stripy t shirts last spring. Not until about April though - too cold for anything but ankle boots!

I wear my brogues all year round. With bare ankles in the summer but at this time of year I have some snazzy socks that go with them. Or woolly tights and a skirt.

I wear mine all year round (except height of summer). I have a couple of patent pairs which look great with opaque or wool tights for work in the winter and are waterproof. I have a pair of tan hamble oaks and wouldn't wear them when its really wet as the leather will get stained.
