Cashmere - if you weren't going to buy brora

What would you get? Is pure collection better than uniqlo?

IME Uniqlo is better qual and miles cheaper than Pure but Pure's styles are way more varied and inevitably some are better. Chinti & P is pricy and lovely, 360 is good and I thought Wyse fell to bits too fast.

I can never find colours in Uniqlo that I like , unless its navy (and who wants to wear navy all the time?)

I got a pure collection jumper for Christmas and it got a hole in it on the third wear.

I would recommend m&s and Jaeger cashmere, I’ve got second hand jumpers that have worn really well. On the other hand, I treated myself to an own brand John Lewis cashmere jumper and it bobbled horribly right away.

La redoute, more choice in autumn winter but regular discounts make it very chrap and the quality is not brora but good.

Having looked at all your kind suggestions I have ordered from pure - I was looking for a pretty basic plain cream fitted crew neck - and they so that (a lot of crews are baggy at the waist and I want this for under suits for work). Will see how it works out. The pricing difference between cheap and Scottish is immense - the pure jumper is c 80 after discount the same in brora is over 250. - there must be very very good reasons for that ....

I love Pure cashmere, better than M&S I think. I’ve also got good cashmere from the white company

I was given a cream coloured cashmere jumper from Uniqlo at Xmas. It’s lovely and comfortable and very warm.
