Skinnies inside boots?

Is it a thing? DH bought me some nice suede ankle boots but they are quite long for ankle boots so I'm wondering if my skinny jeans/leggings are meant to go inside (groans as clearly losing fashion sense!)

Yes jeans inside

Actually the trend now is more to have a small gap between the top of your boots and the hem of your jeans - either buy cropped jeans or roll them up.

I still see loads of people tucking their skinny jeans into boots though. Especially while it's freezing outside.

Foggymist · 24/02/2018 17:29

Yes of course, they'd look very strange forced over the outside of them!

Mulberrysilk · 24/02/2018 17:54

Leggings inside. Jeans rolled up a little.

Oh... fashion faux pas... not tall enough for a gap but will put them inside ...next time Grin

Yes to the gap

For me it depends on the boots.

So looking great over but others look better with jeans over them.

I am short so rolling and putting gaps breaks my leg with many horizontal lines, so perfer either inside or over.

DryWhiteagainW · 24/02/2018 23:43

Glad it’s not just me OP. I have short legs so resisted for ages but am doing it now. The best way for me is black boot with mid height block heel with black skinnies tucked in. Blue denim still looks a bit odd but agree the roll up is most current look.
