Black coat dilemma

There is a beautiful black wool coat from Hobbs on ebay. It is perfect in every way apart from the colour. I am 50 in a month, it has a funnel neck, so close to my face. It isn’t going to work is it?

I guess I'm just being dense but I have no idea why it 'wouldn't work'. If you like it, get it! It sounds lovely.

Scarf? Distracting brooch? Get a couple of years out of it and bang it back on eBay? Also something magical doesn't happen at 50 ...
