What do I wear with this dress?

Going to DH's commendation ceremony - it's a day event so I don't want to feel uncomfortable and formal. Help please ....early 40's , 5ft 3" and small.

I’d ditch the waist belt and swap it out for a more structured one

I’d pull out the navy colour from the dress and use that as a base for all accessories

Ooh thanks! Would nude Mary Janes Work? I do have a plain cotton blazer in navy as well as a navy tweed.
I have a thing about wearing silk with wool though.....feel it's a strange combo!!
