Dandruff

Help!

I've had dandruff for a couple of weeks now. I've been using head and shoulders with no luck. The last time I had dandruff (a couple of years ago) I used head and shoulders and it cleared up pretty much straight away.

I have no idea what to do. Are there any really good tips for dealing with it? I just want to put a hat on permanently and hide it Sad

Any tips much appreciated!

Use another brand of anti dandruff shampoo. There are others. I’ve found H&S to be good but DD prefers TGel or Redken.

I will have to take a look, can you get them at the supermarket?

Tgel medicated shampoo is very good

L’Oréal elvive for men anti dandruff. It’s in a black bottle with orange lid. It’s the only (including prescription) shampoo that’s every cleared my scalp.

Nizoral has worked for me, might be prescription-only or you might be able to get it from the pharmacy.

Another vote for L’Oréal men’s shampoo.

You may also find reducing dairy helps.

@sugarlost Coincidentally, my eczema has flared up since ending veganuary, where I followed a vegan diet for January. So you may well be on to something there.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I think I'm just going to have to dry a few different shampoos and see what does the job!

At least I have a few recommendations now! Grin

I noticed my scalp flared up when I was overindulging in dairy!

Good luck!

The Body Shop anti dandruff Ginger Shampoo is great.

I know it's not the same thing but I started using it on my really awful scalp psoriasis and it cleared it up in less than a month.

Just a quick update, I've been using T-Gel and it seems to have worked!!
Smells a bit rubbish but has really soothes my scalp and the flakes are basically gone.

I'm going to keep a bottle in the bathroom from now on! Thank you!
