Shampoo help!

FranksBobot · 22/02/2018 20:30

My dd is nearly 12 and hormones are hitting hard!
She has the loveliest long thick hair but it so unbelievably greasy.

Can anyone recommend a really good shampoo for greasy hair? Cost not an issue if it sorts the problem.

Try baby shampoo?

FranksBobot · 22/02/2018 20:42

Tried Johnson's baby Shampoo, it didn't help at all, we've also tried head and shoulders and dove

Redken Cleansing Creme.... It's expensive but does work.

Also, Alberto Balsam Tea Tree Tingle shampoo is good too.

halfwitpicker · 22/02/2018 20:44

A good tip is to wash it twice.

PurpleDaisies · 22/02/2018 20:44

Aussie works well for me

LaCerbiatta · 22/02/2018 20:45

Elvive Clay is very good.

Chipsahoy · 22/02/2018 20:45

Loreal elvive clay shampoo. It's in a green bottle.
I had unbelievably greasy hair when I had my coil removed. Damn hormones. Ended up with huge nasty cysts all around my scalp. Switched to the clay shampoo and it cleared right up. Can also go three days between washes.
Worth a shot. Or medicated shampoo dries hair out...

MrsElvis · 22/02/2018 20:47

Do Body shop still make ice blue shampoo? That's very good

Klobuchar · 22/02/2018 20:48

Wash twice and go easy on the conditioner. Try to avoid putting any on the roots.

flibbertigibbety · 22/02/2018 20:50

Ive just started using a solid shampoo bar from Lush called Montalbano and it is helping massively, don't need to wash my hair everyday anymore! I think it's got loads of lemon oil in it which makes it squeaky clean...

FranksBobot · 22/02/2018 20:55

Thanks for the suggestions, I will make a list and work my way through it.
She doesn't use conditioner for this reason but will also try the washing twice.

Rosemary shampoo from Faith in Nature.

madmomma · 22/02/2018 21:12

The old version of fairy liquid (not the platinum one) with a light conditioner after.
