Dresses for work

I'm a teacher teaching in primary and my work wardrobe is in desperate need of a revival. I'm stuck in a black trousers/boring top rut!

Any dress recommendations? Can't be low cut/short for obviously reasons. I'm a 10-12 (defo 12 on the top) and I'm only short which doesn't help 🙈

Boden, Hobbs, Phase 8, M and S, Mango, Zara, Warehouse (upped their game recently) and Massimo Dutti for better quality separates. All will have decent work dresses at varying prices.

Also look at COS as the neckines are high, they love a cocoon shape (suit a 12 top/10 bottom) lots of quality natural fabrics. Look good with flat shoes/brogues/chelsea boots too. Ignore the photos on the website! Clothes need to be tried on and are a lot more flattering than on the slouching, unhappy models 😊

TU at Sainsbury's has some really nice dresses at the moment. And I find their stuff washes really well too and is quite durable - so good for school!

Don’t go for Boden, Hobbs or Joules unless you are over 60. Or Cos unless you’re an art teacher.

I’d look at ASOS as they are much more youthful and fashionable.
