What shall I do with my barnet?

I haven't been to a hairdressers in about 10 months Blush

My roots are terrible, it's gone completely grey at the front and the ends are dry.

I have an appointment booked tomorrow for a full colour and cut, and I fancy something different from highlights all over.

You have beautiful hair but it will look even better with a good 4 inches off it'll really thicken it up. Not sure if you have a fringe or not so maybe either some shorter layers around your face or a long sweeping side fringe? Highlights are great for disguising grey so I'd stick to that colour or maybe add some golden colours.

Thanks. It's definitely got thinner with age and a good cut should help.

No fringe but I have had long layers around the face but they are all grown out now and it looks shapeless.

I love the shape of KK's hair in this pic

That's really lovely and looks quite low maintenance.. Go for it!! 😬

Looks pretty thick to me anyway. You have really nice hair. A blunt cut taking off 1-2 inches will make it feel better.

I wouldn't ask for layers around your face. Ime hairdressers go into a Rachel from Friends haircut trance and you'll come out looking like 1996. Slight shaping around the bottom at the front should be enough.

Long layers should be ok though. Just keep emphasising the 'long' part.
