Dandruff - help!

I have long thick hair and wash it 2-3 times a week (i run most days so that's the least i can get away with!) but i'm getting a bit of dandruff - not loads and its not itchy - which makes me think its product build up.
I'm a bit of a 'nervous picker' and scratch my head when tired or worried, and noticed that on the top of my head and round the sides there's quite a lot of white 'dust' coming off (definitely not flakes!)
I read some reviews and neutrogena t-sal shampoo anti build-up was recommended but I can't find it anywhere - anyone got any recommendations for this? My hair is looking pretty dull and a good shampoo would be more affordable than a full dye lol!

I get flaky stuff in my hair if I put any product in at all including morrocan oil. Can't comment on the neutrogena but good old head and shoulders does the trick for me.
