Going back to brown, any tips?

Ok so i toyed with the idea of going blonde for ages and a few months back went for it.
On the whole people said they liked it, but I'm just fed up if not getting the colour quite right, fast regrowth and not to mention the breakage!
I did start with box dyes and progressed to stuff from Sallys a 9% peroxide and kolesten special blonde.
Currently the roots are kind of pale gingery, the mid is the colour I want, almost white blonde and the very ends slightly darker as tbey are holding on to previous dye.
Any tips for going back to brown? Kind of want a dark magenta brown, difficult to explain but might not go there straight away!
Not sure whether I want wash in wash out, semi or permanent.
Any advice greatfully received:)

This one has enough red pigment not to give a green hue off but dark enough to look chocolate brown and not bright auburn. It doesn’t grip and turn black on porous hair either.

I have covered bleached hair a fair few times!

If you want it more magenta then you could leave it a bit after using this and then tone.
