Decent reasonably priced powder?

I love my Clinique stay matte powder but would love something cheaper, however anything I’ve tried just looks too “powdery” on my face! Any recommendations?

I like the No 7 ones. Seventeen also does a ridiculously cheap one that is surprisingly good, although you have to supply your own powder puff.

Thanks for the recommendations, I will have a look at those. Seventeen is a surprising one! Any more anyone?

I recently tried HD loose powder and I'm now a convert. It's the stuff that looks white but when you've applied it it is completely invisible, apart from the blurring/HD effect. It doesn't look as if it's 'sitting' on top of my foundation in the way the traditional powder does.

The one I use was from Superdrug - MUA I think, although there are lots of other brands doing the same thing.

Bit of advice about hd powder. In real life it looks fabulous however never wear it if you may be photographed. All those pictures of celebrities with white powdery eyes on the red carpet is becasue they're wearing hd powder and the flashback on photos is shocking.

Ooh those photos are scary! Didn't know about flashback...

Luckily I don't tend to get papped very often! I've just had a look at sone recent holiday pics when I was probably using the powder & it looks fine, but maybe the flash wasn't very bright or something.

Superdrug collection loose powder is what I use.

I use bourjois Java rice powder for everyday (hourglass for nights out) - find rice powder light and natural looking, I always repurchase

Another vote for No 7

stoplickingthetelly · 24/02/2018 20:51

I aways go back to No 7 too. I tried RCMA after hearing Wayne Goss rave about it, but found it just sat on my skin. Couldn't get on with it at all.

Dizzywizz · 25/02/2018 07:19

I think I’ll try no7, thanks everyone!

Join Beauty Pie. Lots of options and you won’t pay much over a tenner.
