Philips lumea, I don't want to shave my face

I currently use hair removal cream to get rid of facial hair, I don't want to shave before using it, if it doesn't work, I'll have to shave daily.
Can I use hair cream, then the device the next day when a bit of stubble comes through?
Horrible feeling I've just wasted my money :(

I have tried the shaving and zapping a few times but each time I get awful black head spots in the zapped area. It looks like a rash with black heads and appears about a week later.
I have resorted to a facial eplilator. Much better.

No you should always remove hair before lasering!!!

You're supposed to shave not pluck to leave the root, but to be honest I pluck and it still works (don't know the science of that!)

I've just realised this thread is about noticeable hairs rather than the recent trend for all-over face shaving (that's actually a Thing). Ignore me.
...yes...I didn't realise until recently that's a thing! I do have fine fluff I guess if I use a magnifying mirror in daylight...is that what people are shaving off? Eurghh...should I be doing it? I pluck any big uns out...v satisfying but don't get many

Hi, I realise this is very old and I may not get a reply. But was just wondering how you got on with this in the end?
