Everyday/casual handbag ideas around €200

I’m in the market for a new handbag Grin I have a LV Cluny for work and want to get something nice for weekends/more casual style. Doesn’t need to be too big (like to keep the kids stuff separate), don’t mind crossbody or shoulder, prefer leather and probably black.
What’s your favourite everyday handbag and what would you get for around €200?

I’m after the same thing and this is what I have my eye on www.fossil.com/us/en/products/maya-hobo-sku-zb6979p.html

I would second the fossil suggestion. I have 3 of them and they are really good quality. Just the right size for everyday use.

Thank you both! I really like the look of that bag people I wouldn’t have thought of Fossil but there is a shop in the city I work in so will go and have a look at them.

Another Fossil fan here too

Coach have some lovely bags too

Most of mine really Osprey. Good quality, lovely colours.

For under £200 I like Osprey, or the dreaded Radley if you can find one dog-free. Both well made, good quality leather, thoughtful detail imo. Otherwise, you might find Coach for that price in an outlet store.

Welshcake77 · 20/02/2018 21:32

RainyApril I got my mum a Radley for Christmas and thought if it didn’t have that stupid dog on it, it’d be really nice 😄
Will have a look at Osprey too.

You can remove the dog :-) I certainly did from mine. I don't understand why Mumsnet hates Radley, mine was really nice.
My best ever, most complemented bag is a Fossil purchase of Ebay. Excellent quality.
I like Coach too.
On the high street Zara has some lovely designs but the bags are crap quality.

RainyApril · 20/02/2018 21:50

I know welsh I wonder why they put them on their bags, I've never heard anyone say they like them!

For high street I always think Russel & Bromley have good bags for about £200.

billybagpuss · 20/02/2018 21:59

If you want something a bit different check out Elvis and Kresse they are up cycled handbags from retired fire hose and lined with parachute silk. I absolute adore mine. And its built like a tank it will last forever. Also every handbag they make a donation to the firefighter benevolent fund. So before it became a handbag it spent 30 years putting out fires.

Welshcake77 · 21/02/2018 07:44

Didn't know you could take them off Viviene thanks for the tip! I think lots of their bags are nice and they seem to be good quality, but I’m not a fan of patterned linings or the dog ;)

I’m not in the UK and haven’t seen R&B where I am but willmlook online. Looks like a trip to the Fossil store would be a good idea though. Thanks for all your suggestions!

Radley handbags are really simple classic designs and last well for that price. You just have to find ones with a detachable dog and detach it.

Mupflup · 21/02/2018 07:56

I have a Marc by Marc Jacobs classic hobo for every day and I've seen them on cocosa recently for £180. Tempted to get myself a replacement!

lemonsquisher · 21/02/2018 08:01

Longchamp! Not the famous canvas pillage shopper (although they’re brilliant for kid’s stuff) but they have several leather styles that are very classic and would probably be around the 200 Euro mark.
