What are you fancying for Spring - Summer this year?

I quite like a lot of stuff I have seen so far, mainly preppy stuff and stripes and things, but not found anything I want to buy so far.

I have just ordered this black jersey midi dress from Wallis and I quite fancy the look of this skirt from Fat Face. I never shop at either of those shops, so I wonder what is going on there.

Anyway, what have you got your eye on?

I've got my eye on these khaki Jigsaw chinos to wear with my snakey Olivias which have barely left my feet. They are also doing a nice drop shouldered tee which I can't find on the website but Stradavarius are doing something similar for a fraction of the price: www.stradivarius.com/gb/basic-drop-sleeve-t-shirt-c0p300620528.html?colorId=210

Other than that, I'll be on the look out for the usual cotton boho tops and slogan tees! And perhaps a blazer in either a stripe or maybe a red one.

oh, meant to add that I've just ordered this from Lindex and it's lovely. I'll be wearing it tucked in to my faded Next 360 jeans.

It was Stradivarius I was thinking of when I mentioned the preppy stuff. I like lots but the materials look pretty nasty to me. Occasionally they have the odd thing with nice material so I am keeping my eyes open.

I'd like some wideleg jeans - straight and wide rather than flared - but only if they're spot on as I'm not exactly short of trousers.

I'll probably need to replace my leather plimsolls. TK Maxx came good last time.

I think it's time to replace a couple of L/S T shirts, including my perfect Gap navy/off white stripe. God knows where. Stripy T shirts are like TV shows - loads of them but mostly shite.

I was after a couple of lightweight jumpers but I think I'm sorted now thanks to Uniqlo U and a couple of second hand finds.

I may want a couple more silk shirts but I buy them second hand.

And I might treat myself to something random from the next Uniqlo U range, whenever that is. I'm trying to avoid buying new unless it's something I've planned but it's my rule so I can break it if I want to.

I bought myself a perfect t´shirt from GAP last year, not a stripy one but great. I almost bought more but then didn´t. I am sure I will regret this for the next decade.

I did see a nice thick cotton stripy top in Zara in several colour for under a tenner. I was surprised at how good the cotton seemed to be but didn´t try it on because I already have two.

I want some black or grey suede trainers, but am struggling to find anything narrow enough.

I want some jeans that aren't skinnies - maybe embroidered roll up ones.

Need some t-shirts, maybe v neck, in good quality cotton and non-insipid colours.

Has anybody tried the Muji organic cotton tees?

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 19/02/2018 20:10

I've been looking at H&M khaki skinnies for a few weeks and bought them this week and love them. They're perfect with blush pink and cream, which I wear lots of. No idea what to put them with shoe-wise though til the weather is warmer.

mrslebon · 19/02/2018 20:38

oooo they are nice khaki skinnies @idontbelieveinthemoon. Could you not style them with white trainers as per the H&M website? I've been bare ankled for weeks in sheer defiance of the crap weather.

margaritasbythesea · 19/02/2018 20:40

Nice colour Idon´tbelieve. I would probably wear them with my white trainers, but then I am not in the UK and so out of touch with the realities of the weather there.

I'm going to dig out last year's khaki cargo skinnies and navy rolled-up chinos for spring. I probably need a couple more 3/4 sleeve tops that aren't black or grey.

Summer... No idea. I bought a second pair of floaty patterned trousers this weekend for my casual, non-air con office but I'll probably end up in my usual pale boyfriend jeans and sandals. Sigh.

HRTpatch · 20/02/2018 08:03

Struggling to find quality clothes which fit...six feet tall, size 14 and 34 inch legs.
Oh and size 9 narrow feet.
It's always a nightmare..nothing on the high street shoes wise and very little clothes wise either.

margaritasbythesea · 20/02/2018 10:15

That must be really difficult. I have a friend who is 6 foot plus and the tall ranges don´t really cut it.

I really have to find things other than jeans for summer as it is too hot here to wear them. When I go back to the UK in the summer I am in trousers and jumpers!

fishonabicycle · 20/02/2018 10:44

What is the sizing like on those khaki skinnies please?

I have similar size problems - am about 5 foot tall and a size 6-8.

Mulberrysilk · 20/02/2018 10:52

Hrt patch, have you tried mens jeans? I ordered a pair of next mens skinny jeans for my teenage ds. On a whim I decided to try them on. I love them! The leg is a bit wider than women's skinny jeans so they're more of a relaxed skinny. I'm going to order them in a shorter leg because I'm not tall but the men's jeans come in longer legs. It's worth a try.

HRTpatch · 20/02/2018 16:03

Jeans I can get...i wear Levis.
It's "other" trousers.. I don't wear skirts or dresses because the hassle of finding shoes is a nightmare.
