Hi All

I'm looking at this as an alternative to P20 (which stains my clothing terribly) Has anyone used the family 30 spf ultrasun and does it stain?

It doesn't stain. I much prefer the consistency too.

Dailystuck71 · 19/02/2018 16:10

I use it all the time. No issues and better than p20. Doesn’t stain.

SheepySheepy · 19/02/2018 16:12

LOVE IT. I hate suncream, the feeling of it is eurgh. Ultrasun has cured me of my hatred! Sinks in really well, wore it in the desert (35c) was fine all day. There is one which is a bit glittery... Grin

I'll go now. I don't work for them.

MeetieVonWrinkleSqueak · 19/02/2018 16:15

I like it.

We're a very pale skinned family that burns easily, but one application in the morning was enough for full days out in the sun in Florida and France.

I haven't noticed it staining clothes.

CallarMorvern · 19/02/2018 17:02

DH uses it, he has psoriasis and is massively fussy about creams. He's also a red head and lobsters at the first glimpse of sun. He's never burnt with Ultrasun and one application lasts ages. It never stains. The only issue is that it's a bit pricey, but TKMaxx sometimes have it.

Now, about that glittery one?... Is it tinted? Is it very glittery? There are never any testers

SheepySheepy · 19/02/2018 18:58

Callar, welcome to the glitter!

It doesn't seem to be tinted, and actually I wouldn't call it "glittery". It's pretty subtle and nice, more like a sparkly shimmer, but mainly when the light catches it.

Margomyhero · 19/02/2018 19:12

The glittery one isn't too glittery. More of a golden sheen.

I had some in a tester size in a multi pack from qvc.

I was on a jet 2 flight this week and they sell the factor 30 for 18 for one or £22 for two which is v good value.

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 19/02/2018 20:01

Is the family spf 30 ok to use on the face?

Margomyhero · 19/02/2018 20:17

There is a special facial one too. However DH used the family on his face and (bald ) head. No issues with texture. It isn't greasy.

Maraki · 19/02/2018 21:09

The Ultrasun SPF50 leaves a white residue on your skin and is hard to rub in. But the spf30 is ok. It definitely doesn’t stain clothes. It feels like a heavy body cream and doesn’t smell of anything (which is great). It is not waterproof though and you will need to reapply after swimming and drying. But you will NOT burn

SheepySheepy · 19/02/2018 23:45

Meh I didn't find the 50 hard to rub in.

Squaddielife · 20/02/2018 13:07

Fantastic thanks all.

I've ordered the sports spray one factor 30 and family cream factor 30 so i can try both whilst we're away.

I use Family 30 on my face, Blahblah, in fact I prefer it to the Face 30 version which doesn't seem to have as smooth a texture.

Housewife2010 · 20/02/2018 20:31

The spf 30 face one for sensitive skin is excellent. It sinks in easily and has none of that annoying sunscreen scent.
