I think you can take Erythromycin while pregnant but I'm not a doctor so better check. It's the only thing that gets rid of mine

Would they prescribe a topical one for you? I’m pretty sure I’ve had topical antibiotics for perioral dermatitis in pregnancy.

I’ve read the topical ones are that great? But I’ll be willing to try anything it’s so unsightly!

I’ve had this problem when pregnant and not and have had both oral and topical antibiotics over the years. I was pleasantly surprised by the topical clindamycin. Perhaps it took a bit longer to work but it worked well enough for me to not need oral antibiotics and it did eventually settle completely for a few years. There are other gongs you could try doing alongside the topical medication, like avoiding too many products (preferably none, but that is tricky if you’re trying to cover up the area in question) and use a non foaming toothpaste, but see what the GP says to a topical antibiotic. It might work

Topical worked beautifully for me (metronidazole cream).
