Has anyone seen a dress like this one from Shein?

After clicking a link on here to this dress from Shein, it is following me round the internet and I have decided that I really like it.

I have only heard awful things about Shein though, so I don´t want to buy it from there. Also, I would like it as more of a day dress, so less low cut and not so shiny.

I have had a shimmy round John Lewis, House of Fraser and normal shops that occurred to me but with no joy.

I would prefer not black, but happy to look at anything really. The sleeves are really important to me and I would like to be a decent knee length.

Thank you!

That’s a really gorgeous shape dress.

I’ve had a quick search, and I can find the plunge neckline with no problem, but the bottom part of the dresses are either bodycon, or a wrap style with quite a bit of leg on show.

I’ve never ordered from Shein, but the dress in the photos on their site look like better quality fabric than the two from Boohoo in the links below.

Do they accept returns if you’re not happy?

I would probably wear both of those too, so thanks for the links. I really want something for the day though. I can feel a very 70s vibe coming upon me for this summer....

I got this one - or pretty similar - from ASOS a few months ago. Not quite as dressy by the looks of it but same shape and style I think...://m.asos.com/asos-tall/asos-tall-midi-wrap-tea-dress-with-long-sleeves/prd/7251336?clr=black&SearchQuery=&cid=8799&gridcolumn=2&gridrow=6&gridsize=2&pge=3&pgesize

FeedtheTree · 18/02/2018 15:30

this is quite similar. And lovely.

Wallis has a current wrap around one, but the fit is not so neat.

FeedtheTree · 18/02/2018 15:30

Crossed with Argeles - that's the Wallis one I saw too.

BelleandBeast · 18/02/2018 15:41

this has a similar vibe

very similar, different colours

I want it too, preferably in cotton, nice and long!

BelleandBeast · 18/02/2018 15:45

Might be worth getting the cheapest dress and then asking local dressmaker to make you one is a lovely cotton fabric or a few, as it is a timeless look.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 18/02/2018 17:57

I ordered from Shein, read the reviews after and was worried but everything was lovely.the fabrics can be a bit hit and miss so read the description first.

margaritasbythesea · 18/02/2018 19:48

Thanks for your suggestions.

I couldn´t get your link to work elmo. Was it this one?

I agree Belle. One in cotton would be fab. I was hoping that someone like Baukjen or pure collection would have one. Pure Collection have something similar but the waist is really high which really changes the feel of the dress and wouldn´t suit me.

I am definitely going to go for one of them though. OFf to have a better look and think. Thanks very much.

In case anyone is interested, I found this one in the US which is cotton mix. They don´t deliver to where I am, unfortunately.

I am thinking of the Wallis one but I also really like this one that I came across in my searches which is very different but nice too I think.

FWIW I ordered from Shein before reading any reviews then spent a week dreading my order turning up, no problems with mine whatsoever I was pleased with my order. However if I'd read the reviews first I wouldn't of risked it but maybe it's a case of you only get to hear the negatives

margaritasbythesea · 19/02/2018 11:27

Thanks for the reassurance. I do like the Shein one but it is too low cut for me to wear in the daytime. I might get it for evening but I don´t really need it.

Oh no! I just went to buy the Wallis dress and it is out of stock.

Now looking again ..... gah!

I have just spotted one on Brand Alley, in red and in blue ( cotton too) around £75, but then I unsubscribed so I cannot link it. Sorry.

I love this but can't afford it, even though it's half the price of some mentioned previously

margaritasbythesea · 19/02/2018 16:15

That is very glam!
