Tinted moisturiser/light foundation recommendations

I currently use the boots no7 one but they've recently changed d the colours and none of he new colours suit me. So I'm looking for recommendations of a tinted moisturiser or would consider a light foundation too.

Budget is upto £30 and I have more
Pink undertones to my skin as opposed to yellow.

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue is lovely, very light and comfortable to wear bunt a real pick me up for your face. I'm also pale with cool tones, I use shade 1.5 BIrch. It's a newer shade and not all stores/sites have it but it's worth seeking out.

Chocolou · 17/02/2018 14:13

Thanks creme that sounds promising will have a look.

Nars pure radiance

MuttsNutts · 17/02/2018 14:21

Have you tried BB cream? I hadn’t even heard about it until MN but now I use it every day. I use the Garnier one which is light and non-greasy. It rehydrates and gives very light coverage which evens out my skintone beautifully.

Catinthebath · 17/02/2018 14:24

Absolute budget range but with a fabulous finish for the price is Superdrug CC cream. Few quid a go. I wear it in the day on top of moisturiser and get lots of compliments that my skin looks glowing

Chocolou · 17/02/2018 14:28

cat that's exactly the look I want. Glowing. Feel like my skin just looks haggard at the moment.

Mac do a nice light foundation. I think it's for all over (body too) - if you go in there and ask them they will match colour for you. Smells like Issey Miyake ladies perfume to me Grin

yummycake123 · 17/02/2018 14:30

Have you tried Laura Mercier's tinted moisturiser? It's lovely. I tried many BBcreams, CC creams, other tinted moisturisers...but now I stick to this one.
It's a bit over your budget (£34-35) but worth it in my opinion. It lasts a long time.

Llamallann · 17/02/2018 14:32

At Christmas I got the charlotte Tilbury light wonder (£32) and also The Ordinary Serum Foundation (£6!!) they’re both lovely but I get more compliments on the ordinary - especially when paired with their primer and both would be under £15!

missmoz · 17/02/2018 14:37

Second the Ordinary Serum Foundation.

I use the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser because it's easier to put on with my fingers on the bus, and I had a voucher. It's really good, v pale and blendable with good coverage.

But I also own the ordinary serum foundation and will happily go back to it when it runs out, you need a brush or beauty blender though.

ohbitchplease · 17/02/2018 14:40

I swear I spend my life recommending it, but Laura Mercier really is the nuts. Lots of shades. Super easy to apply, doesn't oxidise and stays put. Enough coverage to even skin tone and give the most beautiful glow without looking heavy or shiny. Without wishing to sound like a wanker, I get compliments on my skin when I wear it.

Nars was shite on my skin; sat in every single pore and turned patchy even though I don't have dry skin.

ohbitchplease · 17/02/2018 14:41

Oh I missed the budget bit...yes it's a couple of quid more than you'd like to spend but as pp said, totally worth it.

tulipz · 17/02/2018 14:58

another vote for bare minerals complexion rescue gel, its fab. so many colours to choose from, maybe try a bare minerals counter at a department store? if not, qvc let you try products for 30 days, if you don't like them you can send them back, just have to pay postage

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/02/2018 15:04

Another endorsement for Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturiser. I used to use Lierac's BB creme, but could only get it from Europe via Amazon but now it seems to have disappeared altogether. I thought I'd give the Laura Mercier one a go because I use the body moisturiser in the summer and it is fabulous. The tinted face moisturiser comes in a ton of shades, so you're bound to find a good match and I can't fault it.

stoplickingthetelly · 17/02/2018 15:09

I've been pleasantly surprised by the new rimmel breathable foundation, It's lovely. The bourjois serum one is good too.

Catinthebath · 17/02/2018 15:25

Choc despite being lightweight it does cover imperfections quite well too. I like the sound of Ordinary that other posters have recommended too

Catinthebath · 17/02/2018 15:30

Pp’s recommending Laura mercier tinted moisturiser, had it got staying power? I’m not usually bothered at foundation staying put but I’m going to a wedding and was tempted to get my make up done but where I live, make up artists are a bit OTT and I’m worried I’ll get an unnatural look, though it would likely last. Perhaps rather do my own with a decent base

Bettybettybettybetty · 17/02/2018 15:33

Becca do a lovely glowing one, I just got it from qvc in a pack. Can’t remember what it’s called but it’s in a clear bottle with a dropper

smilingartichoke · 17/02/2018 15:38

I too am a Laura Mercier fan but popped into my local John Lewis to pick up some more only to be told that the Nude shade I use is out of stock practically everywhere. I don't know what to do now. Apparently it's not discontinued but no idea when available. Need to find a substitute pronto!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/02/2018 15:42

smiling have you tried Space NK? I bought one in there last week and they seemed to have all shades at my local branch (Cambridge)

twoplytwoply · 17/02/2018 15:50

The ordinary serum foundation is amazing, my new favourite, and I also really like the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue.

JaneEyre70 · 17/02/2018 15:53

Bare Minerals complexion rescue - I've got uber sensitive skin and hate the feeling of anything clogging my face but can wear this, it's brilliant. I'd get it off a counter though as there are a lot of shades. It gives you an even colour and slight dewy finish. Love it.

DOTLEYtheONEeyedDINO · 17/02/2018 15:59

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser - it's very light and natural.

smilingartichoke · 17/02/2018 16:03

Thanks Grumpy. No SpaceNK store near me but I see they do have it online. Will order.

Chocolou · 17/02/2018 16:57

I'm intrigued by the ordinary
Where do I buy it?
