Boden Kids - sizing?

Just seen a gorgeous jacket in their sale. I’ve never bought anything from Boden though so have no idea if their sizing is stingy, normal or generous. Can any one help with kids sizing. DGD is average height and weight and is narrow with a long body. No clue whether to go with her age or get next size up. In Next I have to size down as their stuff is very generous .

Small and short. Ordered dd 3.5 age 5 trousers and they were 2 inches too short

I got 2 ski type jackets for my DS 2&4. In a size 2-3 & 4-5 and they came up on the large side. My eldest can wear the 2-3 and he’s an average 4yo

Tiny, my 6 yo dd is in Age 9. She’s tall, but not that tall!

Really depends from item to item! Get both sizes and send back the one that doesn't fit.

My small 4 and a half year old wears 3-4 in Boden. If average size I would get the same size as age.

Very small IME.

Thanks so much. If they’re short fitting that could be a problem DGD has a long body and proportionally shorter legs. So a jacket in 2/3 might not be long enough even though the width and arm length might be just right. May have to order 2 and get DD to return one. I won’t see it till I next visit because they live at other end of the country.

Yep small sizing. The only brand whose size is spot on for my twins, who are little shortarses ( like their mum!)

Right decision made. I’m going to order next size up on the basis of better too big then too small especially as it’s for spring so she won’t be wearing it for a while. Thank you all so much.
