Under eye lines/dark circles?

I've always had dark circles under me eyes, it's just part of my pigmentation. Recently, at the grand old age of 31, I'm now starting to develop lines under my eyes. Its ever since the birth of my son a year ago Hmm Grin Make up just seems to make it more magnified. I feel like I just look old and tired. Are there are magical remedies/lotions/concealers I could try to make them less prominent? I'm becoming more self conscious of them.

No.

I've tried them all.

Bobbi Brown corrector does help, a bit, and that was the only thing I've found, but it's a bugger to apply.

Yeah the more concealer you use the worse they look! I use the rimmel one and apply gently with my ring finger.

I find a little bit of highlighter near your tear duct can help bring a your eye too.

I brought something today called the ordinary retinol 0.5%. They also do a 2% but they say you are suppose to build your tolerance. Suppose to help with fine lines, pigmentation, scars etc.

A tip from my daughter. Use orange under your eyes then your normal concealer. Look at elf in Superdrug. they do orange sticks for different skin tones. People have told me how fresh I look since I started doing this. I'm 48.

I have this problem too. I'm not even actually that tired but I look like I haven't slept properly for years. I find concealers really do just make it worse. I've tried doing that colour correcting thing where you use orange or red underneath your concealer but they are always really waxy which just emphasises the wrinkles and makes very little difference to the colour of the dark circles anyway. Really hoping someone has a miracle suggestion!

I may have found a solution. Use pale gold eye shadow on your upper and lower eyelid. It magically reflects light to the right places. Deep set eyes and serious eye bags here but this really helps. And I tightline with pale purple eye pencil for extra definition and intensity.

frustrated do you mean your mobile eye and contour?
Or underneath too? Smile

I use colour corrector from MUA that works well. I no longer powder under my eyes to set concealer because it sits in the fine lines and makes them worse.

Watched a doc recently with Cherry Healey, using spf everday over time will defo help with wrinkles. I have always had milky fair skin and dark eyes. I use temple spa windows of the soul cream, which is great for cooling and puffyness, i think it has a bit of an effect on darkness too but still need concealer. Ive used shape tape which is great but also using the new makeup revolution conceal and define which is a cheaper alternative.

Using ysl touche eclait or other concealers dont work for me

I've used B.B. corrector for years but found it highlighted the wrinkles. Recently I've changed to Clinique Line Smoothing and it's less drying.
Doesn't last as long though.

namaste86 · 16/02/2018 10:20

Thanks for the tips, definitely going to check some of them out.

I can deal with the dark circles, just used to I guess. Its more the wrinkles/creases that I'm more aware of, and just feel like I look slightly haggared :( I adore my son but its definitely been since he was born.

Benefit do a moisturizing stick for under the eye, I find it's helpful and use it with Clinique tinted moisturiser.

Will try pale gold eye shadow!

DuckBilledAardvark · 16/02/2018 11:04

This stuff. Blend with a concealer brush, it corrects the colour without sitting in lines.

The MUA Caroline Barnes recently did a video on this YouTube. I’m going to give it a go later when I go out.
