Damaged Iro Leather Jacket

I bought this for 257 gbp on eBay. When it came, it has a rip in front. Seller is offering a partial refund of 90 gbp. Would you accept? Is this salvageable?

The rip is in front.

I can't see how you would repair that, and its in a really prominent place too. You could take it to a leather repair shop, or even a cobblers for better advice but it might cost you at least the refund for the repair.

I really wouldn't bother, thats a lot to pay for a jacket on eBay even. If it wasn't highlighted in the ad, the seller has to accept a return and refund, just open an item not described case. Whatever they might argue, eBay will force them to refund you, just do it through the proper eBay dispute route.

Then buy another one.

I wouldn’t, would probably not be cheap to get it fixed and you’ll always notice it. If it was £10 I would write it off but not for that amount.

Yes , they will stick it and paint around the edges so it won't be visible . Won't be cheap though I reckon &90 would cover it . I'd send it back for a refund!

Would you have bought a damaged jacket for £167?
I'd get a refund if I were you.

Personally, I would return it as item not as described. Is it new? If its not it is way overpriced. It could get worse and then where do you stand? If you really like the jacket, ask for more of a refund. With a rip like that and it being used I would expect a good deal off it. I would be expecting only to pay about £50 seriously. Don't accept that refund. Is it an all saints? If its not a 'brand' they may be more likely to agree to a bigger refund as there is now way they will sell that on with that rip and the price you paid for it [even with the £90 discount]

It’s Iro - it’s a designer brand from France. Costs US1295 new.

I declined the partial refund.
