Le Chameau wellies

What’s the verdict on them? My Hunters have holes in the soles and rub my heels so looking for a change. Have had a look at Aigle and Le Chameau but am leaning towards Le Chameau due to the slightly narrower calf measurement. They will get pretty heavy wear so want to be sure they’ll last. Thanks.

My first pair lasted 10 years. My 2nd pair are still going strong 8 years in. They look the biz too!

Yes! Ditched years of Hunters for these, they’re wearing brilliantly after 4/5 ish years, worn every day apart from baking summer days for dog walking 👍🏻

Thank you ... i’m gulping at the cost but I know my cost per wear will end up as pennies so think I will probably take the plunge.

I love mine. They're great for slim feet and very comfy, I can walk miles in them.

Upperwallop · 14/02/2018 09:23

How much are you paying? If you shop around, you can get them for £100 ish.

99bluebuttons · 17/02/2018 22:22

Thanks guys - am going to order a pair. Are they true to size?

Upper - they are £170 on Le Chameau website, cheapest I can find is here. Do you think it’s they’re genuine! If so, a great saving - thank you for the tip to shop around.

Agree these are fantastic value in terms of cost per wear and the soles are nice and thick, great for muddy walks.

If you have slim calves, they have a ladies version.

Mamia15 · 18/02/2018 09:01

The ladies versions are true to size - not sure about the unisex one in your link (Le Chameau's site show the same prices so you might as well buy direct from there).

99bluebuttons · 18/02/2018 10:22

Thanks for sizing info Mamia. The link has two foor widths, when you click the narrow width, it says ladies. Do you reckon they’re a genuine unisex as spopposed to the actual ladies on £170 Le Chameau? Price difference is around £42. Cheers.

They are fabulous. Much better than hunters. I paid about £120 for mine through a local country store.

Mamia15 · 18/02/2018 10:54

In that case sounds like these are not unisex and £42 is a great saving 😊
