This would look ridiculous wouldn’t it??

I’ve been looking for the perfect mid-size bag. Something I can carry phone, wallet, umbrella, few toddler bits (colouring book & crayons) and a nappy & wipes for the baby.

Today I was wandering round topshop and saw the perfect size bag (only downside is it doesn’t zip at the top) but I’m 39 with 2 kids.

This would look ridiculous right?? (I really like it but I think it’s my inner 15 year old talking!)

Don't be daft , I shop in Topshop sometimes and I'm 43🤷‍♀️

Why would it look ridiculous?

GooodMythicalMorning · 10/02/2018 13:38

Depends what its like

Do you have a pic of the bag? If you’ve found one like this I need one too!! Go for it if you like it! If it makes you happy, go for it.

On the subject of bags, the Skinny Dip bags make me sooo happy but never had the balls to buy one yet!

Nothing wrong with Topshop. I don’t love the bag though but only because of the colour combos. Basically it looks a bit ‘girly’ for my taste. But if you love it you can rock it. It’s not outre or anything.

Kitsharrington · 10/02/2018 14:23

I don’t like the bag but not because it’s topshop or you are 39. Topshop is for all ages.

SpoonfulOfJam · 10/02/2018 14:31

Umm... I've lost enough baby weight that I can happily go to clothes shops again. Topshop is one of my favourites, and I'm lusting after another pair of jeans from there. I'm mid 30s. I think it's fine to go back to shops I used to go to when I was a teenager.

sportyfool · 10/02/2018 14:50

Just get it , it's only £25 and when you get bored of it you can get another bag .. life is too short to overthink stuff like this .

RickOShay · 10/02/2018 16:10

I am 50 and I shop in topshop, all my jeans are from there Grin
I did feel a bit of a plonker a few years ago, but luckily I am over that, and now just shop away
The bag isn’t my cup of tea, but if you like it, get it.

Peopleplease · 10/02/2018 16:48

sporty it’s €46 here in Ireland. I’m really trying to cut back on mindless shopping and consumerism for the sake of it.

I’d prefer to buy a more expensive bag that I’d get more use out of.

I think I just talked myself out of it!

You could probably get something similar in primark for half that price

Kenworthington · 10/02/2018 19:51

I love topshop (and in 42) but that bag isn’t very nice imo and actually looks quite unfashionable, don’t like the colours or the pattern but if you like it go ahead of course. It’s only a bag!

I love it,
