How long does perfume keep unopened?

Just found a sealed bottle of Chanel Chance that I must have received about 4 years ago. Will it still be alright to use?

If it has not been exposed to light or very extreme temp fluctuations it should be absolutely fine.

Yes, unopened in a box it will keep for decades.

Even opened in a box it will keep for decades... My oldest Chanel was made in 1946 (and only in 1946) and still smells wonderful...!
