Thinking of ordering a couple of tops from Shein. It seems v cheap and just wondered if you’ve used it what your experience was? Is it an ok place to shop from? For reference I’m size 14 and early 30s.

Not me but plenty online reviews and many on style and beauty. Run for the hills.

kaykay72 · 03/02/2018 17:38

Shocking quality and ridiculous sizing. My d (size 6) ordered a large size sweatshirt as she wanted it oversize, couldn’t get it on.

FloralSocks · 03/02/2018 17:40

😫 I’ll avoid!

Wish decent stores would advertise on my FB!!

Oh I'm glad you started this thread as I was also looking there recently - gutted it's not great, seen some really nice bits

MaudlinMews · 03/02/2018 17:57

I’ve bought a lovely dress and blouse from there. I’d say the quality is on a par with New Look and Primark. Material is ok, stitching ok. Cut ok. finish ok. patterns dont always match up seamlessly and there may be the odd dropped thread but overall good for the money. Delivery takes about a week though.

MaudlinMews · 03/02/2018 17:59

I had to buy a large Shock

Their large is 35-28-36!

There is nothing beyond that size.

iwantavuvezela · 03/02/2018 18:05

There was a sweet hoodie my daughter wanted. I bought a small woman and fits her, she is 11. its also quite thin as fabric. I would be wary as an adult , but in fairness she has hardly taken it off and it has gone through the wash quite a bit, so if you were a small or so I would say it might be worth a try!

PorklessPie · 03/02/2018 19:40

I love it, everything I've ordered has been brilliant and arrived within a week with tracked postage. Agree the quality is similar to newlook/peacocks/primark.

FloralSocks · 03/02/2018 20:21

@PorklessPie can I ask what size you are? Do you size up when ordering? I’m usually a 12/14 so I was going to order ‘L’ but now thinking I should whack a couple of X’s on that!

Why?? Just why??

PorklessPie · 03/02/2018 20:57

I'm a 10, but petite (5ft 2, size 3 feet). I order a small, or when I've ordered the oversized jumpers which are one size they are quite baggy and definitely like the description.

TwinklyGiraffe · 03/02/2018 21:49

DONT touch it with a barge pole!

fredabear · 03/02/2018 21:52

Quality is what I'd expect for the price, designs are different to high street, which I like, sizing has been as expected so far

ronswansonstache · 03/02/2018 21:55

I bought a shirt from them. Cheap tat from China, but it had sparkly dinosaurs on it so I'm still quite pleased with it and get loads of compliments. I've not washed it yet & would be unsurprised if it fell apart.

Make sure you size up.

khajiit13 · 03/02/2018 21:57

It's a shame as the clothes look lovely but I've only heard bad things

maisyanddaisy · 03/02/2018 21:59

I had to return everything as far too small- to Belgium, at my expense. Avoid!

BrownTurkey · 03/02/2018 22:06

Got two nice sweatshirts for dds for Christmas in fact they are both wearing them tonight. No sizing issues, dd1 takes a medium ladies, dd2 a small or extra small. Thin material but that's the style. I am pleased with them. The website was slightly annoying as they kept sending me discount codes but the website wouldn't let me enter the code so I nearly didn't buy.

paddingtonbear1 · 03/02/2018 22:20

I'd say the quality and sizing is very variable. I bought 2 tops for dd and she's pleased with them, but I'm glad I read the reviews before ordering as in one top she needed a small and in the other an XL! She is normally a size 10.

Callamia · 03/02/2018 22:22

My friend bought that cat hoodie advertised. It looks NOTHING like the picture. The reviews are terrible.

BinkyandBunty · 03/02/2018 22:46

I bought a dress. It was horrible cheap polyester, there were mistakes in the print (eg blobs of colour that shouldn't have been there), it arrived with a pull in the fabric and it was at least 2 sizes smaller than it was supposed to be.

bruffin · 03/02/2018 22:50

Quality is fine but sizing unreliable

Estellanpip · 03/02/2018 22:58

I read that the photos you see aren't their products but they then make to order with what you've picked as a template, under terrible pressure and working conditions.
It sounds crap all round.

Wilburissomepig · 03/02/2018 23:05

I think the quality and cut is shocking to be honest. Don't waste your money.
