Highstreet primer??

I usually use Bobbi Brown Skin Perfecter but it's pretty pricey! So wondered if anyone can recommend a highstreet primer, just something that can even be worn alone just to give the skin a little boost? Thanks for any suggestions! X

Watching with interest. For staying power of foundation I've found the lanacane anti chafe gel good. Just waiting for my order of the W7 benefit porefessional dupe to arrive so I'll let you know what that's like when I've tried it.

Rimmel do really good primers. They are a cream type primer, not the clear silicone type, and they are better than any of the expensive brands that I have ever tried.

Maybelline baby skin is q good

CryptoFascist · 02/02/2018 09:15

Maybelline Baby Skin is pretty good. You do need to let it sink in a bit before putting foundation over it.

Cross-post!

THE No 7 one is good. It’s called airbrush away!

Which Rimmel would you recommend? Really like Rimmel as it's purse friendly!

Hylamide ha blur is good. It’s not that cheap, but cheaper than BB.

LurkingQuietly · 02/02/2018 14:50

Another vote for no7. It's not that cheap, but it lasts for ever!

treaclesoda · 02/02/2018 14:52

No7 definitely lasts forever. I know because I don't like it much and I'm desperately trying to use it all up so that I can go back to the Rimmel. Grin

A friend of mine recommended the NYX Soft Focus Tinted primer to me, and I really love it. It gives a sheer wash of colour to the skin so it's good for a quick 'no make-up' look and also lovely under foundation. I actually prefer it to my high end primers now. Worth taking a look at...

Another vote for the No. 7. It lasts for ages, and gives a decent base.

I went out and splurged on 4 budget primers the other weekend and the Rimmel one is definitely my fave. It's the Fix & Protect one. I also bought a Barry M one (it's a purple colour but doesn't show purple on your skin) and that is my second fave. Bought 2 other Collection ones but they are not as good. Before that was using the W7 one and before that Lanacane anti-chafing and before that Smashbox. Have also tried a few from various Advent calendars.
