My I nominated fecking rainbows. Jaunty children’s TV presenter territory.

Trainers with everything. Trainers with hearts and sparkles. As above.

Retina searing brights. You’ll be bored with them in a fortnight unless Christina Hamilton is your go to look.

OP posts:

Are these still trendy?
I thought the cold shoulders and bardots were one season wonders. Last season.

DonnaMoss · 01/02/2018 14:24

Can I nominate a make up trend? The weird contouring powder that all the young uns seem to be wearing - making their cheekbones look almost metalic. Bleugh.

NorthernLightsAlways · 01/02/2018 14:29

oooh yes, I don't understand contouring and think it looks really fake. Is that the point though, I'm not sure if fake looking make up is actually also a 'look' :)

MikeUniformMike · 01/02/2018 14:37

Not a trend but something I dislike and it puts me off buying anything with them in.
Photos of models with half open mouths.
Trends:
Contouring aka muddy face
Artificial nails

WrenDouglas · 01/02/2018 14:39

Frankiewears I came here to post about those trousers, I’ve seen three different women in the last week wearing them ... why?!

I saw a story that Juicy Couture style velour tracksuits are threatening to make a comeback. Please no!

Freshprincess · 01/02/2018 14:43

Tops with billowing sleeves from lower arm downwards.
Cold shouldered tops
Enormous eyebrows.

I do however, love a Bardot top, wearing trainers with skinny jeans and 7/8 trousers.

MadameBronte · 01/02/2018 14:50

Jumpers with built in choker. Why? Just why?

Patterned, maxi dresses. I look like a sofa.

Huge puffer jackets. I look like I'm being swallowed by a dinghy.

Baker boy style hats. Look far too try hard.

Really high waisted jeans. Make me look like my boobs are resting on my waistband.

rightknockered · 01/02/2018 14:59

Puffa jackets
anything with frills and bell sleeves
those dresses with the asymmetric hemlines such that the sides are longer with a shorter bit by your knees. WTF
tops with drawstring bits
baggy oversized 90's crap
kitten heels

Kenworthington · 01/02/2018 15:16

Hahah I’ve GOT those trousers frankie they are an acquired taste I grant you

AnnabelleLecter · 01/02/2018 17:55

Anything mustard coloured
Any sweat inducing/static material
Trainers other than to the gym
Cropped but wide jumpers

IWillSurviveHeyHey · 01/02/2018 18:11

Double-denim is back in fashion
Are you all happy now??

IWillSurviveHeyHey · 01/02/2018 18:13

Paperbag waist wide leg trousers

SoFancy · 02/02/2018 12:21

I wish bardot tops were a one season phenomena, but I'm trying to find a lovely dress to wear to a family wedding at the moment and there is a LOT of bardot action still going on on the high street.

Grrrrrr.

LiveLifeWithPassion · 02/02/2018 12:25

I really really don’t get eyebrows these days. I’m probably too old but I just can’t see how they look good at all.

SingingGoldfinch · 02/02/2018 12:37

I'm totally with you on the eyebrows op! I get that nicely shaped brows frame your face but I don't get the full on, pencilled on/permanently surprised look!! Not for me at all!

toffee1000 · 02/02/2018 16:56

Contouring was introduced by bloggers/vloggers. It suits them (somewhat) because of the lighting/camera.
Having a fully contoured face in normal daylight does just look like they’ve got mud smeared across their cheeks.
Also don’t like humongous eyebrows. Eyebrows are pretty key to facial expressions, getting rid of natural ones and painting great slugs on in their place can change things.
Also! “Today I’m wearing a red lip and black trouser”. The grammar. My eyes. It burns.

Estellanpip · 02/02/2018 16:59

I've been contouring since 2001. I do it properly though!
Slug/painted on eyebrows haven't been on trend for a while so I think they'll slowly dwindle back out

UsernameInvalid66 · 02/02/2018 17:12

I thought the cold shoulders and bardots were one season wonders.

Haven't Bardot tops been around for about 50 years?

Annabelle4 · 02/02/2018 17:15

Yes, I wore Bardot tops and dresses in my teens and 20's

BanyanTree · 02/02/2018 17:36

I will no longer do HD eyebrows and look like I have twin slugs on my forehead.
I won't model myself on Bet Lynch and go head to toe leopardskin print -hides leopard print and red scarf just bought-
I won't take the curtain hassle tie backs off my wall and wear them as earrings.
I won't buy a faux fur gillet because I am not a wilding.
I won't buy those white trainers with bees on them from Boden because they are just stupid.

purplepug · 02/02/2018 17:41

Ripped clothes.

arousingcheer · 02/02/2018 18:52

Am having trouble coming to terms with ankle boots. My tall ones made my legs look long and willowy and kept me warm. Ankle boots make me look stumpy and chafe my ankles and apparently I'm supposed to roll up my trouser hem to expose an inch of ankle in the winter - ? I just can't see the point of them.

I have got a little pair of short pointy booties that sit below the ankle bone and look great, it's more the Chelsea boot/chukka boot height that gives me grief.

seasaltartichoke · 02/02/2018 19:01

Football shirts off the pitch. Awful smelly, synthetic fabric and atrocious colours. I could never date a man who wore a football shirt. Yuk!

goose1964 · 02/02/2018 19:09

Are they still calling those trousers bell bottoms.?

Pumpkintopf · 02/02/2018 22:13

Yy to jumpers/tops with chokers - awful
