DD (10) and I both went from long to short about 6 months ago - both have very straight hair which will not hold a wave or curl at all. I have plenty of hair but the hair itself is quite fine. DD has very thick hair.
We both went to a graduated, angled bob - very styled - mine a bit longer than hers. We both loved it after years of long hair.
Our hairdresser has messed it up the last 2 cuts however and now we both just look like we have bog standard bobs - again, mine a bit longer and obviously finer than DD's. They are graduated but not anywhere near as angled as we wanted and as they were before.
It's a bit awkward with our hairdresser for personal reasons and not easy to get her to fix it because of her very limited availability so thinking we'll both go elsewhere to try and get it fixed. Really don't know what to do though. Get it fixed now, but have to go shorter in order to do so, or leave it 6/8 weeks and then go and see if a bit of extra length gives us more options.
The photo is what DD wants but I'm worried it's going to look too harsh on her and also worried it won't work because her hair is so thick. Any knowledge? Will this look stylish and cool but not "hard" on a very sweet 10 year old?
Urgh! This is so hard!
